The angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection.
All distances parallel to the main axis are measured from the mirror’s pole.
At the point of incidence, the incident ray, reflected ray, and normal drawn to the reflecting surface all lie in the same plane.
A concave mirror is one that has been polished from the outer side of a hollow sphere so that the reflecting side is facing the hollow side.
A convex mirror is one that has been polished from the hollow side of the sphere so that the reflecting surface is towards the bulging side.
The object is always positioned to the left of the mirror. This implies that the light from the object falls on the mirror from the left side.
